On 28 July Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received the delegation of the Republic of Armenia's Lori region headed by its governor Arthur Nalbandyan, which has arrived in Artsakh within the framework of the "Lori-Martakert: Bridges of Friendship" program.
The Head of the State considered deepening and expanding relations between the regions of Artsakh and Armenia beneficial for the two Armenian states noting its importance in strengthening the inter-Armenian ties too. Within this context Bako Sahakyan rated high the contribution of the Lori region adding that its cooperation with the Martakert region has had a tangible impact on the socioeconomic development of the latter.
Issues related to different spheres of life in the two Armenian republics were also discussed at the talks.
Primate of the Gougark Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Sepouh Chouljyan, NKR minister of agriculture Andranik Khachatyan, minister of culture and youth affairs Narine Aghabalyan, president of the "Base Metals" closed joint stock company Valery Mejloumyan, and other officials partook at the meeting.
