Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan convoked an enlarged consultation devoted to the Constitutional reforms.
The President rated satisfactory the hard work carried out by the Professional Commission on Constitutional Reforms adding that the presented project in general provided answers to the questions circulating in our public and political realms.
The Head of the State underlined that Constitutional reforms are the demands of the times and have an objective nature aiming at consolidating the protection of human rights and freedoms, superiority of democracy and law in our country, improving the balance of powers, raising the efficiency of state governance. "After carrying out some editorial work, according to the current Constitution and laws, the project of the new Constitution will be sent to the National Assembly for getting the Parliament's approval. Only after this it will be possible to speak of the date of the referendum", noted Bako Sahakyan in his speech.
