On 14 September President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received a group of members of the Armenian Karate Federation led by the head of the organization Grigor Michaelyan.
Issues related to the development of physical culture and martial arts in particular were discussed during the meeting.
The President noted that there were different karate study groups in Artsakh and in this sports there were some success. However, in Artsakh there is a willingness to further develop this sport and here special emphasis is put on cooperation with the Armenian Karate Federation.
The Head of the State expressed confidence that inter-Armenian potential is quite strong and it should be utilized in an effective manner.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev, who is also a honorable president of the Armenian Karate Federation, head of the State Sports Department under the Cabinet of Ministers Ramik Hovsepyan and other officials partook at the meeting.
