On 20 September President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory address to President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov.
The address runs as follows:
"On behalf of the authorities, the people of Nagorno Karabagh Republic and myself I congratulate You and all the brotherly people of the Republic of South Ossetia on the 22nd anniversary of state independence.
The formation of sovereign South Ossetia, the heroic defense of its freedom and independence is one of the brightest pages in the ancient history of the Ossetian people, an evident manifestation of is unyielding spirit, patriotism and dedication.
During the years of independence the Republic of South Ossetia achieved considerable success in state building, economic development, improving the welfare of the population. I am confident that South Ossetia will have bright and sustainable future.
I hope that the friendly relations between our countries and peoples will not only retain the accumulated dynamics, but will enter a new qualitative stage.
Once again I sincerely congratulate You and all the people of South Ossetian on this very significant day.
Peace and prosperity to the fraternal South Ossetian nation!".
